Dr. Menachem Wakslak built Valley Heart & Rhythm around a simple conviction: that a technologically advanced electrophysiology practice can still feel deeply personal. At a time when medicine has moved toward volume and efficiency, we’ve moved in the opposite direction, toward fewer patients, more time, and a level of individual attention that’s become increasingly hard to find.
We see a person, not a patient. Everything else follows from that.
Our Philosophy
A diagnosis of atrial fibrillation, an unexplained blackout, or the news that you need a pacemaker raises questions that deserve real answers, not a rushed appointment and a brochure. Heart rhythm disorders can be frightening, and fear grows fastest when information is scarce. We believe one of the most important things we can offer, alongside clinical expertise, is time: time to understand your situation, walk through your options honestly, and arrive at a decision that fits you.
Not every AFib patient needs an ablation, and not every patient who needs one is offered it elsewhere. The recommendation you receive here comes from a physician who has taken the time to know your full story, not from a protocol, a referral pathway, or a production quota. The right treatment for the right patient, every time.
What Sets Us Apart
One Physician. Every Decision.
Valley Heart & Rhythm is physician-led and personally delivered. Every clinical decision, from your first evaluation to a complex ablation or device implantation, is made by Dr. Menachem Wakslak. There are no layers, no rotating providers, no handoffs to someone who doesn’t know your history. You’ll never have to wonder who’s actually in charge of your care.
A Team Small Enough to Know You
We’ve kept the practice intentionally small. That’s not a limitation; it’s the point. When you call, the person who answers knows who you are. When you come in, you’re greeted by the same familiar faces. Our close-knit team operates with the same values this practice was built on: attentiveness, honesty, and the understanding that every patient is also somebody’s person.
The Right Treatment, Not the Most Treatment
Subspecialty care should mean greater precision, not more procedures. We take pride in matching the right treatment to the right patient. That sometimes means recommending an ablation others have overlooked. It sometimes means recommending against one. What it always means is a recommendation you can trust was made with your best interest in mind, not throughput.
Advanced Technology, in Service of People
Dr. Wakslak performs the full scope of electrophysiologic procedures, including pulsed-field ablation, fluoroless catheter ablation, and comprehensive cardiac device management. We use the current toolkit of modern EP techniques not because technology is the point, but because it produces better, safer outcomes for the people in our care. The technology serves the relationship; it never replaces it.
Meet Dr. Wakslak
Valley Heart & Rhythm was founded by Menachem Wakslak, MD, a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist who has practiced in the San Fernando Valley since 2012. He founded this practice to do the work he loves the way he believes it should be done: with clinical honesty, sound judgment, and the willingness to be a thinking partner rather than a salesman.
